Game Day Homegating - GA/FL Weekend on St. Simons Island

If you're from around our neck of the woods, you already know that Georgia Florida weekend on St. Simons Island is one of the biggest events of the year! Football fans from all across the state come to visit our fair isle to either stay the night before making the trip to the stadium, or to party and watch the game from the comfort of the Island!

This year may look a little different. Many of us will be choosing to "homegate" with family and friends rather than travel to the stadium in Jacksonville to tailgate. However you choose to watch the game and celebrate the great rivalry between the Dawgs and the Gators, Two Friends has just what you need to make it fun, festive and fabulous!

Here are some tips and must-haves to make sure your GA/FL Game Day festivities go off without a hitch!

  1. Stock up on cute game day cocktail napkins - Add a touch of style and flair with cocktail napkins in the colors of your favorite team! We have many cute styles to choose from. This might seem like a small detail, but it really makes such a difference.
  2. Plan a signature cocktail for your guests - Of course you're going to stock up on beers, sodas and other classic beverages for your guests. But it's so easy to dial up the wow-factor with a signature cocktail! Some of our favorites for this time of year include Bourbon Apple Cider, Old Fashions and Moscow Mules. Stock up on the ingredients and serve in fun game day glassware and cups!
  3. Make finger foods ahead of time - Prep your meats and veggies for the grill ahead of time so that when your guests arrive, all you have to do is fire up the grill! Yummy dips, finger sandwiches, and other appetizers can also be made the night before and stored in the fridge until it's time for the party.

We can't wait to see y'all for Georgia Florida Weekend! Stop by and grab all your game day essentials. From party supplies to a cute outfits, to hostess gifts to bring along to the homegating party, we have just what you need. Go Dawgs!
